Privacy Policy
Last updated 2 November 2026
Dashup lets you follow and answer the coding agents on your computers from your phone. This policy explains what Dashup collects, why, and what we do with it. Dashup is run from Australia and handles personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we can’t see
Your project details, conversations, approvals, alerts and terminal traffic are encrypted with keys only your paired devices hold. Our servers store one encrypted current dashboard per pairing and encrypted attachments. Live conversation pages, commands and terminal input and output pass through our servers without being saved as message history. Your coding agents keep their histories on your computers. We cannot read your encrypted content.
What we collect
Account: your name, your email address, and your password, which we keep only as a secure hash.
Devices: the name, type and platform of each computer and phone you connect, and your phone’s notification token.
Pairing and delivery: which devices are paired and when. We process connection status, routing identifiers and counters to deliver encrypted dashboards and live packets, and opaque project and thread identifiers to route generic notifications. We do not keep a message delivery journal.
Sign-ins: the IP address and browser or app details of each signed-in session, to keep your account secure.
Milestones: that your account added a phone, paired a computer and first answered an agent from the phone, and a mark for each day you open the app. They record that a step happened, never what it contained.
Website visits: the pages you view, the site that sent you, and your approximate location, browser, device and language. Our own analytics server counts these without cookies, without storing anything in your browser and without keeping your IP address, using an identifier that changes every day.
Billing: whether you have a subscription and whether it is billed through dashup.com, the App Store or Google Play. Stripe, Apple or Google process the payment; we never receive card details.
Support: the emails you send us.
How we use it
We use this information to run Dashup: to sign you in, connect your devices and deliver their encrypted messages, send notifications, manage your subscription, keep the service secure and answer you. We also use website visits and milestones to learn how people find Dashup and whether it works for them. We don’t use it for advertising, we don’t track you across other sites and apps, and we don’t sell it.
Who we share it with
Service providers that run parts of Dashup for us: bunny.net, which hosts our website and servers in the United States, Germany and Australia, and our database provider; Stripe, for payments on dashup.com; Apple and Google, for App Store and Google Play purchases and for delivering notifications, which carry a generic alert and never your content; and Google Workspace, for support email. Our website also loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address.
These providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and Europe. We also share information when the law requires it.
Cookies
The website uses a cookie only to keep you signed in. It has no advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and device information while your account exists. Each new encrypted dashboard replaces the previous version. Unpairing removes that pairing’s current dashboard and stored encrypted attachments. Deleting your account removes its information from our servers at once, and any copies in database backups are deleted as those backups expire. Milestones stay on our analytics server under a random account identifier that no longer matches anyone. Stripe, Apple and Google keep their own records of payments under their policies.
Your choices
You can unpair a computer at any time, and delete your account from Settings in the app or at https://dashup.com/sign-in. To ask for a copy or correction of your information, or to make a privacy complaint, email support@dashup.com. If our answer doesn’t resolve it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at https://www.oaic.gov.au.
Children
Dashup isn’t meant for children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above, and tell you in the app or by email before a significant change applies.
