Pi
Pi, with a very long keyboard cable.
Dashup’s Pi package runs inside the terminal session you already have open. Read its replies, send a message, queue a follow-up or stop a turn from your phone. Same Pi. Different furniture.
From your phone
- Keep the original Pi process and conversation, with your own configuration and models.
- Reply while Pi is idle, steer it while it works, or queue a follow-up for the end of its turn.
- Read streamed responses and interrupt a turn from your phone.
- See Pi beside your other agents, sorted by what needs you.
A package in the Pi you already run
Let Dashup run in the background during setup, or run dashup install, to install its bundled Pi package. In an already-open Pi session, run /reload. Your next phone reply goes to that same TUI.
Pi has a busy package ecosystem, including phone and notification tools. Dashup is for keeping Pi with the other agents you run, through a relay that can’t read their conversations.
What stays in the terminal
Dashup doesn’t launch Pi sessions, change their settings or answer extension dialogs. If an extension asks a question, answer it on the computer; a normal chat reply isn’t a substitute for that decision.
The integration was checked with Pi 0.80.10. Compatibility with the newer Pi 1.0 release hasn’t been established yet.
Details of other products checked against their documentation in October 2026.
Set up once. Then leave.
Run this on each computer you want on your phone, scan its code with the Dashup app, and let Dashup keep running in the background. The computer has to stay on. Dashup can’t wake it.
