Claude Code
Claude Code, however it signs in.
Answer Claude Code from your phone whether it signs in with a Claude plan, an API key, Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud, Microsoft Foundry or a gateway. Dashup works through Claude Code on your computer, so how it signs in is its own business.
From your phone
- Answer permission requests with the command or the diff in front of you: allow once, always allow under Claude’s suggested rule, or reject.
- Answer Claude’s questions, and send a plan back with what to change.
- Reply as yourself. Slash commands work too.
- Read replies as they’re written, and stop a turn that’s heading somewhere unhelpful.
- Switch model, fast mode and ultracode.
- Start a session in one of the computer’s projects or a new folder, or pick up a saved one nothing else has open.
Where Remote Control stops
Anthropic’s Remote Control comes with Claude Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise, and it’s good. It doesn’t work with API keys, Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud Agent Platform, Microsoft Foundry or a gateway set through ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL, and organisations with Zero Data Retention or the HIPAA configuration can’t turn it on. While it’s connected, Anthropic stores the session transcript on its servers.
Dashup doesn’t need a Claude login. It works through Claude Code itself: a plugin in the sessions you run, and the claude command for sessions your phone starts. Your conversations reach Dashup’s servers only as ciphertext they can’t read.
Good to know
Letting Dashup run in the background also adds its plugin to Claude Code. Restart sessions that were already open to answer them from your phone. On Windows, sessions you start at the computer stay read-only for now.
Claude Code lets only the computer approve a plan in a session that’s already running, so from your phone you can send it back with changes. Sessions your phone starts can approve their own plans.
Sessions your phone starts run under Dashup’s background service, which doesn’t read your shell profile. If Claude Code signs in through environment variables, as Bedrock, Google Cloud, Foundry and gateway setups usually do, set them in the env section of Claude Code’s settings.json.
The prompt on your computer stays open, and whichever answer arrives first wins.

Set up once. Then leave.
Run this on each computer you want on your phone, scan its code with the Dashup app, and let Dashup keep running in the background. The computer has to stay on. Dashup can’t wake it.
