“Work smarter, not harder.”, − Allen F. Morgenstern
Technology has completely changed our world – mainly for the better with a little bit of for the worse. With it comes a mountain of benefits, including better communications, sophisticated processes, entertainment, and many more!
But the most notable innovation of all is the creation of digital tools. They help you work faster without compromising the quality of your output. Many companies use apps to streamline workflow, organize files, and improve performance.
Dashup is one of those programs. Out of the thousands of others in the market, what makes it different? Well, let me tell you everything you need to know.
What is Dashup?
Dashup is a low-code platform that allows users to build tools for easier work management. Other platforms provide you a system. Dashup lets you create one. You can use it for many things, from automating tasks to visualizing workflows and integrating other apps into your workspace.
What Is Its Goal?
Dashup aims to be a flexible platform where companies can create their own business tools. It's perfect for those who don’t have the budget to hire a dev team or time to learn how to program.
How Did It Start?
Alex, the founder, is an engineer who used to build enterprise resource planning (ERPs) for international companies. If you don’t know what that is, an ERP is a software that businesses use to manage daily tasks like accounting, distribution, human resources, etc.
Over the years, he realized that the tools he is asked to build are not enough to satisfy most users. Companies are always asking for more functionalities not provided by their ERPs. Alex thought, ‘What if I give these guys the power to create the exact tools that they demand?’
And that’s how the idea for Dashup was born.
How Does it Work?
Unfortunately, Alex’s vision of providing technical freedom for users was easier said than done. What if the learning curve is too steep? How can a platform cater to different business models?
With a lot of heart, careful planning, and hundreds of hours of coding and research, he eventually came up with Dashup. It’s built in a way where you can simply add and remove features to your tool using a drag-and-drop interface.
Let’s say you want to create a sales pipeline in Dashup. You just have to drop the forms into the page, label them, and tick the options you want to function. And that's it! Piece of cake.
Do I Need Coding Knowledge?
Of course not! Dashup is meant for business people who don’t have time to code but want to scale their companies using digital tools. But since it’s a low-code platform, some coding experience will also help you become more flexible with your creations.
What Tools Have Users Created with Dashup?
Heaps! Thanks to their creativity, our users have built fantastic apps far more impressive than the templates we initially provided.
One company has created an application that schedules and reminds its staff of upcoming events. A funeral home generated a system that automates forms and centralizes data. Some tools handle food safety compliance for restaurants, acts as a marketplace for clothes, integrate APIs for eCommerce shops, and organize HR directories for aged care.
Sounds too complex? No worries. You can also use Dashup for basic functions like data entry, bulk emailing, task management, chat systems, and more!
Even myself, a writer who only knows how to use MS Word and Chrome, uses Dashup to write, edit, and upload blogs to our website.
How Can I Get Started?
Here’s the good news: Dashup is beginner-friendly. Unlike other apps with steep learning curves, you can easily learn how to use it in a few hours. I suggest going through some of the use case blogs on the site or simply reach out to the team and schedule a demo.
You’ll be amazed at all the possibilities you can create on this platform. I’m so excited about the tools that you’ll come up with. Best of luck!
